Back in Wisconsin

Mommy and I made it back safe and sound to our house in Waupun. Daddy was very excited to see us. We both got lost of hugs and kisses. Mommy and I were both pretty tired from our trip and took naps in the afternoon, then Mommy and Daddy spent a lot of time unloading and packing away all of our stuff. After supper we had people from the church come over for ice cream . Daddy could only stay for a little while because he had to get to a meeting, so Mommy and I talked with the nice people. I didn't sleep so well last night. I was up at least every two hours, if not every hour. Mommy and I are very tired today. Mommy is not feeling very well and she thinks that maybe we both are a little sick, so we both have taken morning and afternoon naps today. Tonight we are going to some new friends house for dinner. Mommy is excited because she doesn't have to cook.

It was hard to say good bye to Uncle Chris. I had so much fun playing with him. He even made me laugh one more time before he put me in the car. I am so glad that we got to spend so much time with him. I really hope that he comes home for good soon, then we can play more.

I miss you Grandpa Buck and Grandma Sara. I hope that you had okay days today without all of us in your house. Grandpa Buck, Mommy tries to do my exercise with me but I am not so interested because it is not you. It is really hot here and there is really no shade yet so I have not been outside Grandma Sara. Mommy keeps looking out for a place for us to play. I miss the backyard with all the birds that I was watching.

Last Day with Uncle Chris

Today is a my last full day with my Uncle Chris. Tomorrow Mommy and I leave on the 10:30 ferry back to Wisconsin. Uncle Chris flies out at around 3:00 in the afternoon. It will be hard to say good bye to him. He and I have had so much fun getting to know each other. Uncle Chris can make me laugh so hard.

We have spent a lot of time playing in the back yard. Uncle Chris is teaching Mommy how to play golf. They have spent the last two nights hitting their pitching wedges and trying to land the ball in a chair. Last night Mommy landed her ball in the chair one time. Then tonight Uncle hit the chair ten times. He is such a good golfer.

Mommy is starting to pack all of our stuff. We sure brought a lot of stuff to Grandpa and Grandma's house.

Earlier today we went to my great Uncle Robert and Aunt Kristie's house for a fish fry. The fish was was very tasty. Along with all the rest of the food. Tonight the rest of the Terps who are in town are coming here to say good bye to Uncle Chris and me. I am getting sleepy now and Mommy thinks that I should take a nap. I think that I will just stay awake.

Gray Sleepy Day

Last night I did not sleep very well. I wanted Mommy to feed every two hours. I spent most of the afternoon sleeping. I slept on the floor for a while because Mommy was washing my bedding. Then I got up ate and fell asleep on Mommy again for the next hour and then I slept on Grandma for a while.

Then tonight while was Mommy was talking to Daddy on the video phone I finally let loose a big poop. Mommy was very excited and now I am a much happier baby.

Tonight all the adults in the house have been playing games. They played Catch Phrase for over and hour and now they are reading Trivial Pursuit questions. It is funny to listen them. I am trying to flip over from my back to my tummy. I am so close.

Now it is time for my bath and then I will go to sleep.

Missing my Daddy

I am still in Michigan. My Daddy left on Monday to go back to Wisconsin. I miss him a lot! So does Mommy and I know that Daddy misses me. I get to see him on the video phone everyday. I am so glad that we have the video phone.

I am not a happy camper right now. I am having trouble going poopy. I am now on day eight. I am not sleeping very well because of it. Mommy is very tired because I am keeping her up at night.

Monday, all the big people went to the beach. Mommy and I went to our house in Holland. Mommy didn't think it was such a good idea to take me to the beach. At home Mommy packed away some of the stuff we brought back from Wisconsin already. Then we met everyone at Captian Sundae for ice cream.

Then on Tuesday Mommy and I went out shopping with all of my Terpstra Grandma's - Sara, Mary and Ruth. We got my pictures taken at Sears. You can see my pictures at: https://www.searsphotos.com/?shareid=S205544086lC49494346G Grandma Mary bought some new clothes and Grandma Ruth bought me a cell phone to remember Grandma Mary by. They say that Grandma Sara is Grandma 1 and they are Grandmas 2 and 3. I think they are silly. They made me laugh a lot. Also Grandpa Buck and Uncle Chris went golfing yesterday. Uncle Chris got a Birdie on a par three and Grandpa Buck pared the hole. They were very excited about it.

Today we have just hung out at Grandpa and Grandma's house. Mommy and Grandma went to Bed Bath and Beyond to buy a shower present and Grandpa Buck and Uncle Chris went out and bought a new golf club, a driver, because Grandpa broke the old driver last week.

Tonight we are going out to the Beltline Bar for dinner. Mommy hopes that I feel better soon. She is worried about me. I keep telling her not to worry I am fine.

Sara I think your new cousin is pretty cute. You be nice to him. I hope your Mommy feels better soon. It is no fun to be sick.

The Terpstra Reunion

Saturday night was a big family night for my family. My Grandma Sara's family, the Terpstras, had a huge family reunion. It was really fun. I got to meet a lot of new people. I was also passed around to a lot of family members. Everyone there said that I was the cutest baby. Mommy and Daddy had a wonderful time catching up with all of Mommy's aunts, uncles, and cousins. They did a lot of talking and tons of laughing. It was really hard to fall asleep and then stay asleep. Finally, Grandma took me and walked me around a way from people. Then Mommy took me, then Grandpa and finally Daddy held me till it was time to go home. Dinner was on the 28th floor of the Amway building. You could see all of Grand Rapids. That is my Great Uncle Ken holding me for the first time.

Today, when I woke up we went back downtown for breakfast with the relatives. I got passed around again. Finally, Mommy laid me down on the floor and let me kick. I was so happy for the chance to kick. I smiled and talked to everyone who saw me.

In the early afternoon we went back to Grandpa and Grandma's house. I played for a while and then took a nap. Mommy started reading Harry Potter and then she took a nap. Daddy already read the last couple of pages so he knows the ending.

At night we watched a video of me from when I was really little. Uncle Chris was holding me and I started laughing like crazy. Mommy and Daddy quickly tried to get the camera unplugged from the TV so they could record me talking to Uncle Chris. They weren't quick enough. But they did get me farting. I let loose some really stinky farts. They all were laughing at me. It is so much fun to hang around with family.

Golfing with the Family

Today, I got up early and waited for a long time to meet my Great Aunt Mary. She waited until I was asleep and then she showed up. I slept for a while and when she went on a donut run with Uncle Chris I woke up. After she got back I showed off my all of tricks. She was very impressed with all that I could do.

Then it was family time. We went to the Holy Holes which is really the Christian Reformed Golf Course. At first I hung out with Grandma at the club house and then Grandma pushed me in my jogger sound asleep around the golf course. Mommy, Daddy, and Grandpa Buck tried to golf. It was Mommy's second time golfing. Uncle Chris did really well and he has not golfed in two years. Mommy, Daddy, and Grandpa Buck all got frustrated with the sport.

Tonight the big people around me had Mineo's Pizza. They said that it was so good . I had a honey wheat pretzel, not really, but it looked good. After dinner we went to my Great Uncle Bob and Great Aunt Marj's house. I got to see many new relatives. I even got a very special gift a taggy blanket from my Great Aunt Bev. I really liked it. I even got to sit outside by the fire. It was a great time.

Pictures

Today Mommy, Daddy, Grandma Sara, and Uncle Chris took me to Sears to get my four month pictures taken. I talked the whole way to Sears. Then Mommy put my outfit on and the nice lady took one picture with me smiling and then I didn't want to smile again. Everyone tried really hard to get me to smile. Nothing worked, so we left and Mommy said we will have to try again tomorrow.

As we were leaving Sears Daddy and Uncle Chris decided that they need to eat lunch at Taco Bell. Mommy and Grandma didn't want to do that so they went shopping at Michaels. Mommy got some craft and sewing stuff that she needed. I slept while they shopped. When we got home I was still sleeping. Uncle Chris, Daddy, and Mommy played horse outside. It has been along time since they played basketball. They were a little rusty. When I woke up they were still playing. Grandma and I had fun laughing at their missed shots. Uncle Chris also taught Mommy how to swing a golf club. I then ate a big lunch and played on the floor while Uncle Chris and Grandma Sara read Trivial Pursuit cards and the rest of them tried to answer the questions. I tried to give my answers as well. But they never listened to me
Tomorrow should be another fun day of meeting new relatives.

Hanging out with my Uncle Chris

Last night Mommy and I took the ferry across Lake Michigan. Mommy didn't get sick this time. She was really happy about that. When the boat finally docked Mommy and I drove off. She waved to Grandpa Buck, Grandma Sara, and Uncle Chris. Then she found a parking spot and got out of the car and and ran to give Uncle Chris a huge hug. After she got her hugs in then Grandma got me out of the car and I was introduced to my Uncle Chris.
Today, I had a great nap this morning. After my nap I went to Strikers in Jenison. Grandpa Buck and Uncle Chris went off hit a bucket of balls with their golf clubs. Mommy, Grandma Sara and I played mini-golf. They didn't do so well. On the way home Grandma Sara called my pretend Grandma Ruth and she came to Grandma Sara's house with Great Grandma Terp. I played under my activity center so they could all hear me talk. After they left I played Fact or Crap with Uncle Chris, Grandma Sara and mommy. I didn't always get it right but it was fun trying.
It has been so much fun getting to know my Uncle Chris, he is so funny. He makes me laugh.

Hi Uncle Chris

Hi Uncle Chris,
I am so excited that you are in the USA. Today Mommy and I watched on the Internet as your plane landed in Detroit. It is pretty neat that we can do that. Mommy and Daddy are getting everything ready for our trip up to Michigan to see you. I have lots of pictures for you to see of me and a great video that Mommy and Daddy made of me. Last night we watched the video and I was talking to myself. Mommy and Daddy thought it was very funny.

I am sleeping much better now that Mommy and Daddy have finally agreed to let me sleep on my tummy in my crib. Last night I let Mommy sleep for almost five straight hours. They still are little nervous about me sleeping that way so they get up and check on me a lot.

We have been very busy this week with something every night for church. We are already for a vacation. I can't wait to show you all my trick and to give you a big hug. I think Mommy may get to hug you before I do. I hope that is okay with you.
This picture is of me after my late nap yesterday. I woke up and then turned over and started kicking the side of my pack and play.

Cooling Down

Here are Sara and I hanging out before we went out to dinner last week.
The temperature has finally cooled down here. Today Mommy and I could be outside for a while and not get too hot. Mommy thought she had her trip to Fond du Lac planned perfectly. She waited for me to get sleepy. Then she put me in my carseat and off we went to Target to pick up my new cream the Dr. ordered. I slept the all the way to the store. However, when Mommy and I got to the store I was woke up. I like to see what is going on. Mommy and I picked up the medicine and then we drove home. I was pretty tired by then so I decide to cry the whole way home. It was a long trip for both Mommy and I.

After we got home Mommy put me to sleep and then she also took a nap. Daddy kept us both up last night snoring. He has a cold and so Mommy and I didn't get to upset with him. Tonight we went to some new friends for dinner. Daddy and Mommy said the dinner was great. I might go back to their house some time later and swim in their pool.

Tomorrow should be a very interesting afternoon. Mommy and I are babysitting for four really active kids. I think that Mommy will be very tired at the end of the day.
Sorry about the football shirt Grandpa Buck, but do you like my smile?
Here Daddy and I are having a serious conversation

Back in Wisconsin for now

Hi all, (Uncle Chris do you like my outfit? It is from you.)

Sorry about not writing for so long. Daddy has been hogging the computer. When he gets done with his work Mommy and I are both in bed.

We arrived back in Wisconsin late Friday night of last week. We had a great time in Michigan. I got to see some of my good friends on Thursday. Thursday morning Mommy, Daddy, and I went to Grandma Sara's work to show off how cute I am. Then it was off to see our house. When we got to the house Mommy quickly checked the messages and that is when she learned that she had mixed up the time of my doctor's visit. I needed to be to Dr. Green's office in less that half-an-hour. She and Daddy raced to get me my Tylenol because I was going to be getting shots. Normally I like seeing Dr. Green but that day I was not really in the mood. They weighed me and checked how tall I was getting. The new stats are 12lbs. 12 oz. and 25 1/2 inches long. Mommy and Daddy were very impressed.

After we were done with the Dr. we went visiting. Mommy and Daddy stopped off to see Sue and Ella. Scott was off painting. They had a very nice visit. Then we went to Meijer and Mommy got her pretzels and special cherry water. I woke up in Meijer and wanted to eat so we went to visit my buddy Sara. I also go to see Uncle Ben and Aunt Emily. The Mommys and Daddys ate a great dinner at 8th Street Grill while Sara and I talked to each other. Then it was time to drive back the Grandpa and Grandma's house to hang out until it was time to leave for the boat.

The boat trip went better for Mommy this time. She was very glad about that.

This time next week Mommy and I will be in Michigan again and I will be hanging out with my Uncle Chris.

The other news is that I am sleeping better during the day and at night. Mommy and Daddy are very happy about this.

Mommy says that it is time for me to go to bed. She is tired.

Ferry Ride to Grandpa and Grandma's house

Yesterday we had a storm at home. There was a giant crack of thunder and lightning right outside our window. The big tree in our front yard got hit. We lost our internet service but we were leaving anyway, we sure hope it's fixed when we get home. The thunder was so loud momma jumped and so did I. Later in the day we took the Lake Express Ferry from Milwaukee to Muskegon. I enjoyed the ferry ride a lot although I did spit up a little more than I usually do. Mommy on the other hand did not have such a fun ride. She even had her sea bands on. I was so excited to see my Grandpa Buck and Grandma Sara. I talked to them all the way home. At one point I started crying and then Grandpa started talking to me and I calmed down.

Mommy and Daddy are still trying to get me to sleep on my back. We are all struggling to get enough sleep.

Today, I got up and went to my Great Uncle Bob and Great Aunt Marj's house for a Red, White and Blue breakfast. I slept through the breakfast. Mommy and Daddy had so much fun eating and talking with all the adults. Then I played on the floor and showed off my kicking and talking skills.

We hung out the rest of the day at Grandpa Buck's and Grandma Sara's and with my two greatgrandmas. It was a very interesting day!!!!! That's all I can really say about that.

I did get to see my new friend Jacob. He was visiting his grandma and grandpa right next door.

I'll be in Michigan Tomorrow!!

Mommy and Daddy have decided that I need to sleep better. So today they started putting me down when I was sleepy. I don't like it one little bit. I just cried and cried. It was a really bad day. Mommy is extremely tired. She also feels terrible for making me cry so much. Deep down I know what she is doing will make me sleep better and longer.

Tomorrow we are taking the ferry to Michigan. I can't wait for my first boat ride. Sara have you been for a ride on your Daddy's sail boat yet? I am looking forward to seeing you. My Mommy is going to call your Mommy to set up a time for us to play. I can't wait to see you crawling. I will show you all my tricks.

I will try to keep you all up to date on my travel. Can you believe that tomorrow I will be four months old?

Grandpa Buck and Grandma Sara, I will see you tomorrow night. I can't wait for you to hold me and talk with me.
