Mr. Grouchy Pants!

That is my new nickname from Mommy. Today, I was very grouchy in the morning after going to the store, so Mommy put me down for a nap and I slept for and hour and a half. I was woken up by the tornado siren that goes off every day at noon. So I got up and wanted to play outside. I love being outside. This morning Mommy and Daddy woke up to me yelling "OUTSIDE, GO OUTSIDE" not the best wake up call they said. We played outside for a while then it was time to eat lunch. After lunch I went outside again and played with my pool and Mommy finally planted the rest of the flowers she brought from Holland.
When I looked good and tired Mommy took me inside to go down for an afternoon nap. However, I had other ideas. I was quiet and snuggle while she read me stories and I gave her good hugs. Then I screamed for a little while and then went quiet, she thought I was asleep. Not so, I was just playing and then I stood back up she heard me through the monitor and I started yelling "MOMMY DOWN, MOMMY OUTSIDE. After twenty minutes she gave in and came and got me. I played for a while more and then I started to lay on the floor and look sleepy again, so she brought me upstairs.

I screamed and then yell and babbled for twenty-five minutes before she gave in. Now I am running around and being grouchy because I did not get enough sleep. Daddy has to go away tonight and tomorrow night so Mommy is hoping that I will be a good boy and go straight to sleep tonight at bed time. Time will tell what sort of mood I am in. Being in charge is so much fun.

New house cont.

Here are pictures of the kitchen and Craig's office, and the craft room , and a full bathroom which are also on the main floor.

Not a great shot of the main floor full bathroom. We went from a house with one bathroom to a house with three full bathrooms. There is on every floor.
The kitchen is another long rectangle that runs east and west. In this picture you can see my favorite feature of the house, the dishwasher. This picture is taking looking west.
And this one is from the west to east.
This is Craig's office and he is hard at work tonight preparing a sermon for the Classical representatives who are coming this week to hear him preach.
This is my craft room, where I will try and find time to scrapbook, and stamp.

and maybe even do a little quilting. To get to the craft room you either have to go through the bathroom or there is a door of the living room right by the TV.
I will post pictures of the upstairs and basement in a few days.

The main floor of our new house!

Our living room is a big long rectangle. The front of the house faces east. So looking out the window is north.
The living room looking out the south windows.
The front porch is where we have placed all of Parker's toys and it is his area to play. This is looking more towards the north.

This is the south. He is starting to play more and more on the porch without me having to be out there with him all the time.

Play Dates

I have had two play dates this week and both were a lot of fun and meant I was very tired so I took long naps for Mommy. Unfortunately, I would wake up in the middle of my naps and need comfort because my eye teeth are coming in and they hurt. I won't go back down in my crib so now I sleep on the floor in living room which means Mommy can't get as much stuff done but she doesn't mind having me close by.
Well, back to the play dates yesterday, I got to play with eight other kids and there was only one other little guy my age otherwise they were a lot older than I was. But, you know me that won't slow me down any. I just jump right in the middle and rough house with the best of them. I played in their tree house and went down the slide. I even got to pet a little kitten. So much fun all around. Today we had four of the kids come to our house to play while their Mommy worked setting up the school library. We went outside after the rain came through and played with my new basketball hoop from Grandpa and Grandma Van Hill. Mommy showed the three older kids how to trap the soccer ball and how to kick it with the inside of their foot instead of their toe. It was fun chasing the ball down in the parking lot. We all came in after a while and read books and played with my Fisher Price airport and garage. I watched and played with my play food that Velcros together. I like to cut it apart with my play fork and knife. Then their mommy came and picked them up and we all went out for lunch to Pizza Ranch. I ate, bread sticks, mashed potatoes with peas, and some chocolate pudding for dessert.
Then it was on to the play place. I like watching kids play the arcade games. Daddy had to leave and Mommy and I were planning on walking home, only it started raining really hard. We waited for a bit but I was very crabby and started crying and would not stop. So Mommy put a blanket around me and we ran the half mile home in the pouring rain. Our friend couldn't help us because their car was full of them and their bikes. The funny thing is that I fell asleep while Mommy was running us home. Overall, it has been a very good week so far. I also make kissing noises when I see Daddy kissing Mommy and if they are hugging I have to get in on the action. I learned a new word yesterday, it is window.

Alto Fair and a visit from Grandpa and Grandma Van Hill

This has been a very busy week for us here in Waupun, first we had the Alto Fair on Wednesday and Thursday. We went to the fair on Thursday to see the animals and the parade. I was so tired that I fell asleep in the car on the way there and slept until Mommy woke me up later to eat lunch. I had a toasted cheese sandwich made with cheese from the cheese factory in Alto. We walked around the fair grounds and saw all kinds of animals. I got see a roster up close and when it crowed it scared me so much. I jumped, Mommy laughed at me, I did not think it was funny.
Then I saw moo cows, and mooed at them and they mooed back at me. Pigs came next and boy were they big pigs. Most of the pigs were sleeping but one pigs was eating and he kept almost knocking his bowl over. After the pigs we moved on to lambs and goats. I wanted to pet them but Mommy said no because I was still eating my toasted cheese sandwich.

Walking back towards the main street we looked for a good place to sit and watch the parade. Mommy wanted us to get a good seat so she could get a lot of candy. The coolest thing in the parade was the big grocery cart that came down the street. I wish we could have a cart like that. We also saw a train that came down the street. After the parade we came home and I took a good nap.

Friday and Saturday here in Waupun it was the Waupun Truck - N- Show. Big Semis come down main street blowing their horns and showing off all their special lights. It can get pretty loud. Grandpa and Grandma Van Hill were here when I woke up from my nap on Friday. I have been showing them my house. Grandma is sure that I have run of the house. Mommy agrees with her. This afternoon a whole bunch of Daddy's cousins stopped by to see us on their way to a vacation spot here in Wisconsin. It was fun to play with bigger kids again.

Daddy has to preach in the morning and then he is done for the day and he is on vacation and he can play for the rest of the day and all day Monday. I also got my first cracker with frosting on it. YUMMY!!

Parker had an accident and a tree fell in our yard

We have had a very eventful start to the week. On Sunday afternoon Parker was turning the TV on and off when he knew that he was not suppose to be by the TV. He was trying to get away quickly and he lost his balance and hit the ledge of the entertainment center. He cut himself just under the eye and he got a gash. This happened about 4:00, I called for Craig to come and help. We decided to take him into the ER have to checked out. They glued the skin back together. We were very relieved that they did not have to stitch it back together. Now it looks like someone punched him in the face.

Then we had a bad storm that quick came up on Monday afternoon. We have four trees that are in our side yard between the house and the church. The tree that fell was the one closest to the parking lot. It lets a lot more light into the kitchen which helps it not be so dark.

This past week Parker and I were in Michigan for the wedding of my cousin. It was a lot of fun seeing a lot of my Mom's family. Parker had fun playing with his Great Uncle Robert and Great Aunt Kristie.
