Warm Weather Come Back

Visiting with Grandma the Great on Saturday at her house.
Grandma Ruth stopped by as well

The weather has turned cold the last few days, I wish that the temp would go back up. I miss playing outside, going for walks, and to the park. The tulips are in full bloom right now. Next week is Tulip Time here in Holland. I have my outfit all ready to go. Mommy is so excited to dress me in it and start snapping all kinds of pictures. She is going to be home two days next week so that we can go the parades and do other Tulip Time things. I will keep you posted on that.

Tonight I took about five steps on my own for Mommy and of course when Daddy got back from the store I refused to show him what I could do. I am playing with Mommy and Daddy. It is funny to watch how excited they get when I take just a few steps. They clap and tell how great I did and then they always want more. I get a kick out of watching them and so we all end up laughing on the floor together.

Music is another favorite thing of mine. Any time I hear music I have to move my body and I have to direct it.
This video is of me and the fly.

Calvin Fun Run

Yesterday, I ran/walked in my first road race. I did the Calvin College Karen Muyskens Family Fun Run. It was cold out so Grandma and I stayed inside until just before the race started. Then we went outside to see Daddy and Mommy run their race. I cheered for them and then Grandma took me inside and I got see and talk to some of Mommy's old teachers.
See my number, I am number one just like my age!
Run Parker Run!!!

Later we went back outside and learned that we had missed them coming past. We stayed out by the finish line looking for them. We missed Daddy again but we did see Mommy. Daddy had a good time but Mommy was disappointed with hers. You can go to this site and check how they ran http://www.doitsports.com/results/page.tcl?id=10930 Right after they finished we went to find out where my race was to be held. I was so excited that I kept pulling Mommy's hand and making her walk with me. I still like to hold on instead of walk by myself. I walked part of the race and then Mommy and Daddy took turns running with me. At the end I got a special ribbon to show that I did it. While Mommy and Daddy waited to find out if we won any prizes, Grandma took me to see Grandma the Great and then Grandma Ruth showed up to. I played lots of games with Grandma the Great.

Back in Wisconsin

I ma back in Wisconsin for the weekend. We left yesterday about 3:45 in the afternoon Michigan time and arrived in Waupun about 9:30 Michigan time. The traffic was pretty good, it would have been better if there was no road construction. Daddy drove and Mommy and I sat in the back seat and made faces at each other. I got to eat my first Mc Donald's Happy Meal. Mommy ordered it for both of us. She had my fries and drink but I ate my whole hamburger and bun. I was a hungry little boy. We stopped at the first Wisconsin rest stop and I got to go down my first slide, it was fun. As we got closer to Milwaukee Daddy need help with the map and so I explained all the route that he should take. When we got to the house where we stayed last summer I just wanted to go to exploring. I was no longer tired. The house is mostly empty except for a bed for Mommy and Daddy, a crib for me with a rocking chair and then in the kitchen a table with three chairs. After we unloaded all of our stuff it was time for my bath and then off to bed. I think Mommy and Daddy went to bed right after me. This morning I have had a lot of fun exploring some more. I like houses with nothing in them so much more room for me to play. Daddy is running now and when he gets back I think we are heading out for the day. I will write more later.

More Spring Break

Here is Daddy's treat for finishing his 14 mile run. This is the brownie that Mary made him.
On Tuesday, Mommy, Grandma Sara, and Great Aunt Mary went to work out in the morning. I stayed back with Daddy and Grandpa Buck. When they got back we went shopping at the Falls, that is a huge outdoor mall. Great Aunt Mary bought me a really cool outfit that will fit in the fall. I will be so styling I think that all the little girls will fall in love with me. After the mall it was home for lunch and a nap. After my long nap Grandma Sara, Daddy, Mommy and I went to Matheson Hammock which is a park on the ocean.
I finally got to put my feet in the ocean. It was okay. The sky however was getting darker and darker. Then Daddy tried to get me touch the ocean in a different spot but I didn't want to feel it again. I kept pulling up my feet. That night after I was in bed Mommy's cousin Will came home. They stayed up late talking together. In the morning I got to meet Will and his girlfriend Simone. I liked both of them, I kept saying hi and I even gave them hugs and kisses when they left.
On Wednesday Grandma Sara got sick. She could hardly play with me, she sat on the edge of the pool while I played in my boat. Then she put me in my little pool. I had so much fun playing in there. Mommy and Daddy had gone out for the afternoon with Great Aunt Mary. They got to see the city of Miami from the convertible that Mary drives. Mary took them to see the condo she and Uncle Peter have by South Beach. Then they got to go the beach and stick their legs in the water. After that they went to really cool bakery and out for lunch on Lincoln Ave. They really enjoyed everything that they saw and they had fun getting out and not having to be responsible for me for a while.

Thursday was the best day weather wise the sun was shining all day long, however, Grandpa, Mary, Peter, and Daddy all got sick. Grandma was feeling a little better that day. Mommy and I were the only ones who did not get sick at all. I played in the pool with both Mommy and Daddy.

Friday, we got up packed the van and settled in for the long drive back to Michigan. It took us 25 hours. That is a very long time to be in a van. We were all ready to get out and be in our own homes. I had a great time, but coming home was good to.

Spring Break in Miami

Hi everyone, I am back from my spring break trip to Miami. I had a wonderful time, I got to hang out with my Great Grandma Buchholz for the first few days of my trip. It took us 23 hours to drive down to Boynton Beach, Florida. The van ride was long and hard on everyone. But, Mommy said that I did a great job. I sat in my seat and played with my toys. We stopped and different places a long the way. I got to visit new states and go for walks in gas stations. I had dirty socks that I could wear to walk around the different stops.
After the long car ride Mommy and Daddy took me the pool at Great Grandma Buchholz's place. I love the pool, I played in my boat and I even put my face in the water a few times. We stayed at her house for two day. I swam both days.
After church on Sunday we drove a little more and then came to my Mary and Peter's house. Mary came a got me out of the car, but I had to have a diaper change first, I had my second blow out of the day. Mommy hosed me off with the garden hose. I was not happy with her. Then we all went inside and talked. I just followed Uncle Peter with my eyes, I had never seen anyone so tall. We all a had a big dinner and then we to bed.

Then next morning Daddy got up and ran 14 miles. Mommy and I went for a walk to Coral Reef Park, there we saw all different kinds of birds, ducks, and even a goose. I had fun yelling "HI"to everyone we passed on our walk. After we got back I took a nap and the big people went for a swim. After my nap I went swimming in the big pool and the little pool that Grandma the Great bought for me right before we left.

Stay tuned for what happened next !
