SICK!

Parker has been sick since Thursday. He has not felt like eating, drinking, playing, or talking. If you know Parker then you know how strange that is. He is not sleeping for naps or at night. His longest sleep has been 3 hours and that was two nights ago. Mommy and Parker are both tired. His throat hurts really bad because it is covered in little sores. This morning he asked to take his magic mouth wash medicine that helps to numb his mouth. Last night he finally ate something and drank a little bit. I got 9 oz. down his throat one teaspoon at a time with a dropper while he was playing with water in the sink. That was the most he has drank in three days. He also had part of a cheeseburger and few fries. He asked for it and ate some. However, today he is not wanting anything to do with food or drink. He cries a lot at anything. Daddy has been working very hard this weekend. Our church is hosting a Leadership Conference and one of the speakers couldn't make it at the last minute. So Daddy has had to come up with two sessions. We will be ready when this day is over and we can have Daddy back. He has been working all weekend and we have hardly seen him. Here is to hoping that Parker is feeling better so he can post next time. The pictures are old ones because our digital camera is broken. :(

The Dekker Side Yard

Yesterday, I got to play with my new friend Jake all day. He is staying with his Grandpa and Grandma. When Mommy was younger she played in the side yard with all the Dekker boys. They played baseball, pickle, played in sprinkles, had wagon races and lots more.
In the morning Mommy told me that Jake was staying over at his Grandpa and Grandma's I couldn't wait for him to come outside. I yelled from the window as soon as Mr. Dave came out for Jake to come out. Then I got so upset that Grandpa Buck had to take me for a walk. We saw lots of guys with hammers and when the best part was when we got back Jake was outside. We played with sidewalk chalk for a few minutes and then Mr. Dave got out Jake's pool and started to fill it up with water.
I ran to Mommy and told her I needed my swimming suit on. We went inside and got my suit on then it was back out to the pool. Jake and I played in the pool for a very long time. We had boats, little people, cups, containers, and pennies to play with. We dumped water on everything including Mommy and Ms. Peggy. We even poured water on each other's feet and into each other's glasses. Finally, around noon Mommy said we should head inside for some lunch. After lunch we both took naps and then at night we played in the water again. This time both sets of Grandparents, Uncle Chris, and Mommy were watching us.
We were really silly then we put pennies on our bellies and would laugh about our "money tummies". We looked like the Sneetches from the Dr. Seuss book. I hope I can play with Jake more today!

Swimming at Ruth's House

Last night I went swimming at Ruth's house. I had so much fun in the pool. Grandpa Buck, Ruth, and Uncle Chris went and golfed at The Mines. Grandma Sara also went along and took pictures of the their outing. Mommy and Daddy hung out with me in the afternoon and I took a very long nap.
After I got up Mommy got all of our stuff together and we drove downtown to Ruth's place. As soon as we pulled up I was asking when we could go swimming. On the up to her condo we stop and looked at the pool. Then we went up to her place and dropped off our extra stuff and headed right back to the pool. Mommy blow up my arm floats and Daddy got in the pool with me. I started swimming right away.
My favorite thing to do in the water is float on my back. My second favorite thing to do is jump in by myself. I climb down the steps and then jump the last one after I count 1 2 3 jump! I couldn't wait until they all got down golfing and I could show off my tricks. We swam for a while and then I got cold.
We all headed back up to Ruth's place. I wanted to know where her toys were. I love playing with Ruth's toys it is the second reason I like going to her place. We has pizza for supper it was yummy. Then Ruth gave me a vanilla ice cream cone.
It was really good until I saw that Mommy had mint chocolate chip. Then I had to trade with her. The ice cream was very good that I wanted to have a second one, but Mommy and Daddy said "NO".

Trip to the ER and Mini Golfing

So for those who don't know Parker had to go to the Er on Sunday for a cut he got on his forehead. he fell at the playground and cut it straight to the skull. He had to get 3 stitches on the inside and 3 on the outside. They come out tomorrow, I hope he does okay when we take them out. He did so great at the hospital while they were stitching him up. The stitches have not bothered him one little bit. I think the only time he remembers they are there is when I have put cream on them. (Waiting in or room at the ER.)

All wrapped up getting ready for the Dr. to put the stitches in.
All done drinking his slushie
Mommy's update is done and now I can start.
For being so brave at the hospital Mommy and Daddy bought me a shaving kit. I love playing with it in the bathtub.

On Tuesday, the whole family: Grandpa Buck, Grandma Sara, Uncle Chris, Daddy, Mommy, and I went Mini Golfing. We had a great time I got my own golf club and ball. It was so much fun being able to golf with the real stuff.
Everybody, but Grandpa made a hole in one and Daddy had two of them. Daddy beat everyone! I loved the holes where the ball would go in one hole and come out another.
Yesterday, Daddy, Grandma Sara, Mommy, and I went to the Grand Rapids Children's Museum. I love playing with the bubbles, the boat, and the sand box.

My favorite was the car by the bank. I like having Daddy play the banker and give me money through the drive through window.
Mommy got a lot of good ideas of thing to make for me to play with at home. Grandma got some really fun shots of me and our family in a cool mirror.

Blueberries and Splash Park

Last Thursday I went blueberry picking with Grandma Sara and Mommy. I fell asleep on the way out to pick. Mommy let me sleep for awhile. She and Grandma picked about 6 pounds of them. They were disappointed with how small the berries were and how long it took pick such a small amount. When I got up Grandma got a few pictures of me picking and then I was done. I just waned to play in the car.
After they finished picking we headed to Holland for some shopping at The Gap and Carters. Mommy and Grandma were again disappointed because they didn't find any deals or anything they really liked. We drove home and I refused to nap in the afternoon. I was very tired the whole rest of the day. Mommy left me home with Grandpa and Uncle Chris while she and Grandma went off to Grandma's yoga class. Then they came home and we made pizza pies in the camp fire. I played trucks with Ruth and Grandpa Buck.

Mommy and Parker driving to Wisconsin to get Daddy.

The water turned ON and it is cold! RUN!!!

Friday, we stayed home in the morning and we played at the park. Then in the late afternoon I went to Millennium Park with Grandpa Buck, Grandma Sara and Mommy. I had fun playing in the big lake. I had even more fun playing in the splash park. I liked it best when the water was not on and I could play with the toys. I got into a water fight with Grandpa and Mommy. It was a lot of fun and I can't wait until I can show Daddy all of the fun things there.
