The Dekker Side Yard

Yesterday, I got to play with my new friend Jake all day. He is staying with his Grandpa and Grandma. When Mommy was younger she played in the side yard with all the Dekker boys. They played baseball, pickle, played in sprinkles, had wagon races and lots more.
In the morning Mommy told me that Jake was staying over at his Grandpa and Grandma's I couldn't wait for him to come outside. I yelled from the window as soon as Mr. Dave came out for Jake to come out. Then I got so upset that Grandpa Buck had to take me for a walk. We saw lots of guys with hammers and when the best part was when we got back Jake was outside. We played with sidewalk chalk for a few minutes and then Mr. Dave got out Jake's pool and started to fill it up with water.
I ran to Mommy and told her I needed my swimming suit on. We went inside and got my suit on then it was back out to the pool. Jake and I played in the pool for a very long time. We had boats, little people, cups, containers, and pennies to play with. We dumped water on everything including Mommy and Ms. Peggy. We even poured water on each other's feet and into each other's glasses. Finally, around noon Mommy said we should head inside for some lunch. After lunch we both took naps and then at night we played in the water again. This time both sets of Grandparents, Uncle Chris, and Mommy were watching us.
We were really silly then we put pennies on our bellies and would laugh about our "money tummies". We looked like the Sneetches from the Dr. Seuss book. I hope I can play with Jake more today!
