Walking

Everyday I am getting better and better at walking. Here is a video of me when I was first learning.

Graduation and Garage Sale

Last weekend Grandpa and Grandma Van Hill were here for Daddy's graduation from Seminary. I got very fidgety in the seat so Grandpa Buck took me outside and we walked around. After the graduation we all went over by the Seminary and got cookies and punch. Mommy would not let me eat a cookie, but Grandpa Buck and Grandma Alina gave me some punch because Mommy for got my sippy cup at home. We took pictures out on the Seminary lawn. Then is was off to lunch together to celebrate. On the way home I fell asleep in the car, and stayed asleep when we got home. Then it was time go get ready for Daddy's Graduation party. There were lots of people who came over and tons of food. We have been eating Pizza Hut leftovers all week. I love the pastas.

This past week Mommy was gone all day Wednesday to Cedar Point for the 8th grade class trip. I was a very good boy for Daddy. I took good naps and I went to sleep that night no problem. I am still waking up between 4 and 5 in the morning and not wanting to go back to sleep. Mommy is going to fix that in a little bit. She only has 8 days of school left. Then she and I will be home everyday together with Daddy. We are all very excited about that.
Yesterday, we had a garage sale and we sold some stuff that we did not want any more. We still have a lot left, so we hope to have another one later this summer. Well that is the news from here, we are now waiting for Synod in June to say that Daddy is a Candidate and then we will wait for a call. So more waiting but we are excited about it. In 13 days we will be on vacation
Here is the quilt that Mommy made for her school. I was a big help to her.

Sit-Stand-Walk-Run

Sit- Stand-Walk- Run this is my new routine. I stood up in the middle of the floor on Monday afternoon and then proceed to walk over to where Daddy was sitting resting his sore leg. He was very surprised that I walked over by him. So he brought me back to the center of the room and made me do it again. So I stood up and walked over to him again. Then he gave me a huge hug and we called Mommy to tell her about. She was out visiting a friend who had just had a new baby. I am getting better at walking every day. It is so fun to walk/run around the house. Mommy and Daddy are now putting things even higher so I can't get them. Sometimes I get really mad at them when they move things higher.

Saturday, Daddy ran the 5/3 River Bank Run it is 25km that is 15 and 1/2 miles. He did a good job. But he hurt his leg so he has been limping around here not feeling well. When he sits down to ice or put heat on his sore leg, that is when I decided to get into all the things that I am not suppose to get into.

Another new trick I learned is how to flush the toilet. I want to do it all the time. The other night I even climbed into bathtub when Mommy was not looking, it is a good thing that there was no water in the tub.

Grandpa and Grandma Van Hill came today, they are up for Daddy's Graduation on Saturday. He is graduating from 22nd grade. Way to go Daddy! More on that later.

Tulip Time

It is Tulip Time in Holland and the Tulips are beautiful this year. The cold weather late into April has made it so the Tulips are perfect for the festival. Mommy has been home the last two day and we have gone to lots of Tulip Time events. Yesterday, morning we had to go the hospital for me to get my blood drawn. I was so brave, I didn't cry one bit. After that we went downtown to look at the tulips and we got caught in a rain storm. We all got wet running to the Civic Center. I stayed the driest in jogger with lots of blankets wrapped around me. We looked at lot of delft and I got to watch a man making some fudge. Then Mommy and I sent Daddy for the car and we waited for him to come and pick us up. I ate a good lunch and took a long sleep. I got up just in time to run to the parade where I saw lots of floats and bands. I even got to see Daddy's cousin Scott walking with his band. He waved and said "Hi Parker" I directed his band for him. because I love music so much.
After supper Grandma came out and we all went down to Centennial Park to take pictures and watch the Dutch Dances. I was all dressed up in my little Dutch boy costume for Great Aunt Marcia. I looked very handsome, a lot of high school girls were smiling and waving at me. I smiled my coy smile back at them.
The Dutch boy and girl sharing a special kiss.

This morning after breakfast we all went Veldheer Tulip Farm. We walked and saw lots of tulips I didn't know they had that many different kinds. Mommy and Daddy took more pictures of me. But I have come down with a little cold on top of my getting new teeth. Mommy found her favorite Tulip Time poster and she bought it so that it can hang in our new house when we move. After that we went back downtown so Daddy could get his fat ball. He said that it was very good, Mommy tried a tiny bite and thought it was icky. I fell asleep before we got home.

More later so stay tuned. . .

Mommy and Grandpa playing dress up

Here are Mommy, Grandpa Buck, and other teachers all dressed up in their western clothes. This week Grandpa taught at Mommy's school. They were studying the Wild West. Grandpa taught a class all about Cowboys and Law Men. They even went on a train ride and when they got off the train they were in the town of Hickory Hollow. Mommy's character was Ella Grace Mc Rory and she was heading out west to meet her husband in Omaha NE. Only the snows came earlier and she got stuck in Hickory Hollow. She had to make the best of her situation so she opened a quilt shop in the town to make money and Cowboy Buck is her helper.
All day long the students came in and Mommy taught them how to quilt and now she has to try and put all of the squares together into a real quilt. It was a really fun week but Mommy and Grandpa are very tired.

This week I have been a naught boy and will not go to sleep at night, I cry and carry on for hours. Mommy and Daddy are ready for my teeth to come in and for me to figure out how to sleep.

Uncle Chris you better be reading this or else Mommy and I will have to come over to Germany and smother you with hugs and kisses.
