Trip to MI a few weeks ago

A few weeks ago we drove to MI because Daddy had a meeting in Grand Rapids. We arrived at Grandpa Buck's house at 2:30 am and Parker refused to go back to sleep until we found a blue jay. I looked all over the house and I could not find it. I finally got Parker back to sleep at 5:00 in the morning. We were both very tired the next day. We went to visit Grandma Sara at her new office and we got a tour of the new Grand Rapids Christian Elementary School. It is really cool. Daddy left afternoon. Parker and I stayed for a few extra days to help Grandpa Buck celebrate is 60th birthday. On Friday we went fishing in the 90 degree heat Grandpa helped Parker catch his first fish and in the afternoon we visited the Great Grandmas. That night we had pizza and got to watch Cars. The next day we got ready for Grandpa's birthday party. It was a great time and Grandma got to see her first shooting star. The next day we went to Tunnel Park. We got to jump in the waves and play in the sand it was a fabulous day. When Parker was jumping in the waves he asked Grandma Sara where the red button was. She didn't understand and asked him to say it again. He said the red button that the saver people(life guards) push when a kid gets hurt. Then Grandma understood and explained that lakes are different from pools. He loves jumping in the water and can't wait to do it again. Grandpa drove us back to the Wisconsin border the next day. The trip was very eventful and one that my Dad and I will laugh at for years to come.

Last weekend Grandpa Buck and Grandma Sara drove up to see me. I was very excited to see them it have been since May that I had seen them. Daddy was still in Colorado with the Youth Group from our church. I told everyone that he was in Radocado. Mommy was very glad to see them as well. I have been getting up about 5:30 every morning and then not taking naps and staying up late like until 10:00 some nights. She was pretty tired and so was I. I had a blast playing Pirate with Grandpa and Grandma. I made them dress up in some of my pirate gear that my neighbor gave us to use. Grandpa gave me a new Calvin shirt and one for Mommy so we took pictures in those as well. Daddy came home late Saturday night after I had gone to bed. I was a little unsure about him for a while on Sunday but then I warmed up and I have wanted to be with Daddy a lot since then. It is to bad that he as to work so hard. I am still getting up early every day and Mommy is wishing that I would sleep in, but I just like to get up and get going.
