Sioux Falls Trip Part 2

Wednesday morning we got up early and head out to some garage sales. Grandpa watched the store so that Grandma could come with us. I have so much fun climbing in and out of the jogger but the best part was when I got to sit in the double stroller by my cousin. Mommy and Daddy found he a really cool St. Louis Cardinal's hat. I loved wearing it and I was very handsome looking in it. However, but the time we got home Mommy realized that it must have fallen off and we lost it. A very big bummer because I was in need of a new hat. We went to over 50 garage sales but didn't find much. Mommy did find my a lot of Lego's, but she said I have to get a little bit bigger before I will be allowed to play with them.

The next day we headed to Falls Park with my cousins. It was really warm and very windy. The temp reached 91 degrees and the winds were between 20 to 30 miles per hour the whole day. We walked over by the falls and got wet from the mist. Then we went on a trolley ride around downtown Sioux Falls. My cousins and I loved the trolley ride. After the ride we went to the visitors center, Daddy got two shirts, I got a shirt, and Mommy got a new hat. I rode up to the over look in the elevator or as I call it the "elagator". Mommy ran up the stairs and she beat us. I liked being so high up. After the park it was time to head back to Grandpa and Grandma's for a nap. When Grandpa and Grandma were done working we all headed out to watch my Uncle Cory play softball.

Friday, we just hung around Grandma's store and then at night we got to have dinner with Daddy's Aunt's and Uncle's to celebrate Grandpa and Grandma's 40th wedding anniversary. The best part was eating the cake. I love Cake, just like my Mommy and Great Grandma Jean.

We headed home on Sunday afternoon and we got caught in a really bad thunder storm.

Trip to Sioux Falls Part 1

Last week Monday we drove the seven hours to Grandpa Gil and Grandma Alina's house. I was very excited to see them and my cousins. I made the decision not to take a nap the whole day. I was very tired but I just felt that I would miss something important. I had fun singing along to my CD's with Mommy and Daddy in the car and looking at all the animals out my window. When I got to Grandpa Gil's I just wanted to get out of the car and run around in the house. It was very windy at their house. I almost blew away. I played with my cousins for a little while and then they had to go.

Tuesday was a great day, because I got to finally see Grandpa Gil's Garbage Truck! He had finished his first load of the morning and was ready to dump the little garbage truck into the big one. I had fun watching and Grandpa even let me help him tip the truck. The best part was when I got to pull the horn on the big truck. This was the highlight of the trip I talked about it the whole rest of the trip.

After seeing the truck we drove to Sioux Center Iowa to visit Stan and Beth. We also got to see Dordt College. I kept calling it Dora Daddy says that is okay since I call Calvin College "Marvin". We walked around the campus with Stan and Beth. We stopped in the bookstore to get Daddy and I new shirts. Mommy thought it would be funny to get me a Dordt soccer shirt since Grandpa Buck is the assiant soccer coach at Calvin. (I don't think he is going to think that is very funny) I got to run on Dordt's indoor track just like I did at Marvin(Calvin).

There was even a basket ball that I tried to shoot hoops with. We eat in the Student Building with Stan and Beth and there is also where I saw Grace a college student from our church. I feel asleep on our walk back to Stan and Beth's. After my nap we drove around the Sioux Center and then stopped off at Casey's Bakery for a big cookie. I got a tractor, Mommy got a clown and the rest of them had big donuts.

Making a garden

Today was a beautiful day outside the temperature was up in the 70's. We went outside this morning. I helped Mommy wash and vacuum out the car. Daddy brought the little car to get the oil changed and already for our trip to Sioux Falls. We are leaving for Sioux Falls on Monday morning. I am very excited to see Grandpa Gil and Grandma Alina. I am even more excited to see my cousins. We are going to play and play together.

After, my nap Mommy took me outside to see where we were going to put in our garden. While I had been sleeping Daddy tilled the back yard up. I call it mud. Mommy says that when it rains it will be muddy out there. Mommy says that when we get back from our trip we will plant seeds and then watch the grow.

I climbed up here to have my snack on Friday while Mommy was cleaning the house.

Great Weekend with Grandpa and Grandma Buchholz

We had a great time with Grandpa Buck and Grandma Sara. They came up on Thursday and we had so much fun together. We played and played, I showed them how I can make the ABC puzzle all by myself.

The best part of the weekend was when Grandpa and Grandma would put me to bed. I loved making the read me lots of books.

On Friday we went to the Horicon Marsh and walked along the floating board walk. We saw lots of ducks, a woodpecker, and two snakes. Then on Saturday afternoon we went to the park for family pictures.

Grandma Sara and Grandpa Buck hid jelly beans in different places around the living room. I loved looking for jelly beans and now I make Mommy hid jelly beans around the house. I also love eating peeps, and I know that Uncle Chris likes them too.

WAITING IS HARD

Wednesday, while Mommy was in shower I was reading books in my room. When she got out we had this conversation. "Mommy, Parker reading Bible" "Good job Parker" "Mommy, Parker reading about God" "wonderful" "Mommy, God heavy" "LAUGH!!!" (His Bible book is the heaviest book he has."

On Monday Daddy fixed my lawn mower and I fixed my vacuum.

Today is very exciting day, I am waiting for Grandpa Buck and Grandma Sara to drive up to see me. This morning Mommy and I went to swimming lessons, the store and then back home. At home we cleaned the house and got things ready. I was a naught little boy and ripped a book and Mommy was very upset with me. I had to sit in time out for a while.

Today was Daddy's day off and I got up early with Mommy. Then Daddy came down and Mommy went back up to bed. After sleeping for a while Mommy came back down and she found a Lady Bug crawling across the living room floor Daddy came and took our picture.

I'm in control the way it should be.

Then I wanted to use the camera. So Daddy gave me the camera and snapped some great shots of Mommy before she had shower.
