I hope that you are all having a great day. I am at Grandpa Buck and Grandma Sara's house today. We opened presents earlier today, I had fun eating all the wrapping paper. I was not so into opening the presents at first. Then I got some blocks from my Great Aunt Ruth. I loved them. I played with them the rest of the time. Now I am playing with Grandma The Great. New Car Seat!

I got a new car seat today and I think that it is pretty cool. Mommy took it out of the box this morning and then watched as I started to investigate. I climbed up and stood by it then I had to try it out. Mommy was taking lots of pictures of me. After I played with the seat for a while I had to play with the box. First, Mommy went into the box and showed all sorts of things to do with it. I think that she had as much fun as I did. I have also found the drawer where Mommy keeps her Tupperware. It is so fun to pull it all out and bring it into all the rooms so that at the end of the day Mommy has to go and find it all.

Yesterday, Daddy took his oral comps and he passed. We are so proud of him. I think we should go out and celebrate. Mommy and Daddy are pretty tired today because I kept them awake for hours last night. I am still having a lot of trouble with my teeth. The sooner that they break all the way through the sooner I will start to feel better.

MORE TEETH!

I am getting two new top teeth. Mommy, Daddy, and I are not so excited about these new teeth that is because none of us are getting any sleep. I am waking up all the time during the night and I just cry because my mouth hurts. They give me medicine but it doesn't seem to help much. Mommy and I walked though the house for over and hour in the middle of night for the past few nights. I can tell that I am tiring them out because they want me to go to bed earlier and earlier just so they can climb in bed and go to sleep.

Mommy is ready for Christmas Break to start. She has one more full day and then a half day! When she comes home Friday at noon she says we are going to start partying. We still have a few gifts to get for Daddy's stocking otherwise our shopping is done. Also, Mommy needs to finish making our stockings. I keep telling her to get working!

Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it SNOW!!!

This morning when I woke up there was a lot of white stuff on the ground. I wondered what it was. However, we had to go to church, at church we sang lots of Christmas carols and then it was time for my nap. I fell asleep in Mommy's arm in the library as she rocked me. After church we came home and it was time to eat. Mommy and Daddy had a yummy dinner ready when we walked in the door. They has steak and corn and we all had mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes I'm not so sure that like big people food, but Mommy and keeps putting it in front of me to try.

This afternoon after my good nap we all went out into the white stuff. Mommy and Daddy call it snow. They bundled me up in my snowsuit and hat then it was time to exploring in the winter wonderland outside. Here are some pictures from our adventure and Mommy is going to try and put in a video.

A visit to the Dr.

I went to the Dr. today for my nine month check up. I am tipping the scales at 18 pounds 3 ounces and I am 29 inches long. Mommy and Daddy were very impressed by my growth. The Dr. said that they can start giving me table food. That means I can eat some of the same things that they eat. I am excited about that. I have been begging for bites from them for a while. I wonder what food I will get to taste first. When it happens I will be sure to let you know. Daddy is studying hard right now for his oral comps. We will all be glad when it is done. Mommy is ready for a break from teaching and is very excited about Christmas coming soon.

Let me fill you in on all of my new tricks. I stand up and crawl all over the place even the bath tub. I can pull open cupboard doors and I am trying to pull open the fridge. I have not been out in the white stuff yet but Mommy says as soon as we get a good snow she will bring me out in my snowsuit for a few pictures.

Happy Birthday Mommy!

Today is my Mommy's birthday! She turned 29 years old. Daddy got Mommy the elliptical machine that she wanted. It was a huge surprise and she loves it. Today I got to go to her school for a birthday party that her students threw her. The kids decorated the room with balloons and streamers. It was so fun I wanted to stay and play with the balloons. However, Daddy took me to Grandpa Buck and Grandma Sara's to sleep and play until the big people got done with work. Then it was play time. I had Grandpa Buck and Mommy laughing so hard. I was making music by playing with my cereal boxes. I also was pulling my butterfly and letting it vibrate back to the sun. Then Grandma put me on her bed and let me play with her teddy bear. I giggled at it when Mommy made it tickle my face and tummy.

Earlier this week I turned nine months old and I attended my Grandma The Great's 80th birthday party. It was so fun to meet all my new cousins. I was a lot bigger than they were. Mommy and Daddy couldn't believe how fast I have grown up.

A day with sick baby

I still am not feeling well yet. Daddy stayed home from school with me. Last night I kept Mommy and Daddy up. I would only sleep for an hour at the most unless Mommy or Daddy was holding me. Mommy went to work in the morning very tired. Daddy and I snuggled all day. I did not want to play at all, I just wanted him to hold me. I would only sleep if Daddy was holding me and then only for short time periods. Now that it is bed time I am waking up. I feel like playing with my toys again and I am laughing a little at my cell phone as it makes noise. This weekend my Great Uncle Ken is flying in for Grandma the Great's 80th birthday party. I am excited because I get to meet a lot of new family. Mommy's cousins have had all boys. This is going to be the first time that we get to meet them. Mommy is looking forward to the party and she wants me to get well fast. It is a good thing that the party is not until Sunday. Mommy hopes that I will be ready to sleep soon because she and Daddy are both ready for bed now.

The Flu is no fun!

Today, I have not been myself. I was home with Daddy all day. He feed me my lunch and then we both ended up wearing my lunch as so did the downstairs couch. I didn't want to sleep much today. I just wanted Daddy to hold me. Mommy had a meeting after school so she got home later than usual. Mommy gave me a drink and then we cuddled for a while. Then it was time for my bath. Mommy felt my head and body and I was really warm. She and Daddy took my temperature it was 100.4 degrees. I then had my bath I did not feel like playing very much. After my bath Mommy and I went downstairs to snuggle and Daddy went to the library to study. All of a sudden Mommy's legs were wearing what I ate last. After we both got changed I did it all again. This time it was even more yucky stuff. Mommy then called, Grandma Sara and Emily and while she was talking to Emily I threw up again. After talking to them she called the doctor and took my temp again I was up another degree. The doctor gave her some advice on what to do. Then Mommy called Daddy to come home. Now they are both home with me and I like that. I will keep you posted on how I am feeling.

Dirty Diapers, Baths, and Fire!

Yesterday, I went to Grandpa Buck's and Grandma Sara's for Thanksgiving. I had turkey and sweet potatoes for lunch. Grandma the Great was there as well. She got down on the floor and played with me for a long time. It was wonderful and I got a fire truck to play with. I had to leave the fire truck at Grandpa and Grandma's house. I think that I should have taken it with me and you will find out why later.

This morning Mommy was trying to put me down for my nap and I did not want to go. After while she came into the room to check on me. I was smelly, she started to change my diaper, and she called Daddy for back up and I got my first bath of the day. Then Daddy put me down for a nap. After my nap I played for a while and then I was sleepy again and Mommy put me down for my nap. When I got up from my nap Uncle Chris was on the phone. I got to talk with him. While we were talking to Uncle Chris Mommy and Daddy decided to have fire in the fireplace. Everything went well for awhile but then the house started to fill with smoke. Mommy rushed me down stairs and she and Daddy got buckets and took wood that was on fire and put it outside and sprayed it out. The house still smells a lot like smoke. We have been hanging out in the basement. After the excitement of the fire Mommy and Daddy eat there pizza. Mommy made a special pizza it was chicken, broccoli Alfredo. It turned out really well. Then I had my bath, I played with my pelicans and duck. After my bath I eat my cereal and Mommy gave me drink. I didn't want to go to sleep. Finally, Mommy gave up and put me on the floor to play. That was all I needed, I filled my diaper again. Mommy, took me up stairs to change my diaper and she once again had to call Daddy for help. So I got my third bath of the day. Now I am snuggled in for the night.

Sleeping is for Wimps And I am NO WIMP!

This is my new saying for the week. Mommy is not so happy with my new saying. You see last week I would go to bed around 8:00 pm and I would not wake up until 6:00 am. Mommy liked this a lot she was getting her beauty sleep. However, I like the night life like my Daddy so this week I am reminding her that I am my Daddy's son. I started the week off by getting up once a night and worked up to last night where I woke up three times and I was wake from 4:00 am until Mommy finally got me back to sleep a little after 6:00 am. She was mad at me and kept telling me it was night time and night time means sleepy time. I am not so fond of my naps right now either. I would much rather play. By play, I mean get into all things that I am not suppose to get into; the fire place, Christmas presents Mommy was hiding, the printer, outlets, and the list could on. Doesn't she and Daddy know that all of these things are really cool.

Today, I went with Mommy and Daddy to the DMV to get Mommy a new drivers license. It was fun I talked and smiled at a lot of people. Then it was off to Meijer's to get me so turkey and sweet potatoes for lunch tomorrow. Mommy didn't want me to feel left out of the Thanksgiving meal.

I'm Back

I have been growing while I have been away. My two top teeth are in and Mommy says that they are sharp. A few weeks ago my grandpa and grandma Van Hill came for a visit. We did lots of cool things. They took care of me on Friday when Mommy was working and Daddy was in class. I took a good nap for them. Grandpa and Grandma have been helping Daddy around the house. They moved the washer and dryer to new places in the basement. Saturday night we all went out to dinner at Logan's I had fun pulling my socks off and throwing them on the floor. After a while they were so full of peanut shells that Mommy would not even out them on me.

That same weekend my Great Aunt Mary came into town. I had fun showing her my tricks. I was shy at first I even cried a little bit, but then we had fun playing on the floor.

This week is really busy for both Mommy and Daddy. Mommy had conferences with parents from her school. Daddy dropped me off at Mommy's school and then Mommy brought me to Grandpa and Grandma's house. I played there for a little while and then they took me my Great Uncle Bob's house to hang out with other relatives. Daddy showed up later for dinner. My Great Uncle John was in town from Colorado. He made me laugh and lot.

Today, Daddy started his Greek and Hebrew seminar that will help him pass some tests he has to take. Mommy picked me up from Kate's. I had a lot of fun playing with Joshua.

Tonight Mommy gave me some graham cracker sticks I ate them right up. I try to pull myself up on furniture.

Getting Better

I am starting to feel better. I have been sick for the last few days and so has Mommy. That is why we have been slacking off in our blogging. We have a lot to catch you up on. On Monday, I was too sick to go and play with my friends Emma and Caleb so I went with Mommy to Lansing, Michigan. It is the capital of Michigan. Mommy was attending the LDA conference. That stands for the Learning Disabilities Association of Michigan. I learned a lot about what Mommy does. She said that I was a trooper. I did so well while we were there. I played with my toys, ate my food, and I even took a few naps. The people at the conference kept coming up and smiling at me. On Tuesday, I stayed at Grandpa and Grandma's house and this time I got to play with Grandma Sara. We had tons of fun playing, reading, and doing lots of giggling together, however, she and Daddy noticed spots on my tongue. When Mommy came home there were more spots and she took me to the Dr. Dr. Green said that I would be fine and gave Mommy and me some medicine to take. I like the medicine and don't put up a fight when Mommy and Daddy have to give it to me. Wednesday, Mommy stayed home from work because I was still sick and so was she. We both took good naps and played a lot together. Today, I played with Daddy. My favorite games now are grab my sock and pull it off, crawl to the fire place, or crawl to the wood and try and eat it. I also look for any paper I can get my hands on. I am able to get into places and grab things faster than Mommy and Daddy can reach to put it away. I am getting pretty good at this crawling thing. Last night while Mommy was getting my bath ready I stood and held on to the side of tub and watched it fill with water. I love the sound of water because I know that means bath time!

Last weekend we took some professional pictures. It was a lot of fun. I got to play with some old wooden blocks and wore my favorite outfit: a hat from great uncle Ken, all the way in San Francisco, and an outfit from grandma (that's what we call her) Mary, who lives in Miami. Happy Birthday to my cousin Malori!!

Happy Birthday Malori!!! I wish that I could have been there to celebrate with you. I heard that you had fun with Grandpa and Grandma Van Hill. I would have taken the wrapping paper for you. I like to play with paper. I especially like eating it however, my Mommy always grabs the paper out of my hand. I guess she likes paper even more than I do. Friday, Mommy and Daddy took me to Sears to get my picture taken again. We waited for a long time to get my pictures taken. I did a really good job. I will post the link as soon as they send it to my Mommy. When we got home Grandpa Buck and Grandma Sara were at our house. I played with them for a while. It was so much fun. Then it was bed time and they went home. On Saturday, I played with Mommy and Daddy and we all went running. I have a cold and so I am not sleeping very well at night. This is hard on Mommy she is tired all the time. This afternoon we drove to Grandpa Buck and Grandma Sara's. When we got there they were talking to Uncle Chris. I got so excited to hear his voice I tried to grab the phone and eat him up.



Here I am helping Mommy do the laundry. She put me in the basket to keep me from messing up all the folded clothes.
As you can guess, I am ready to get out!!!

Running

This morning when I got up I went to play with Sara . We had a lot of fun. Sara showed me all the new toys she got for her birthday on Friday. Then I showed her how I can crawl all over the place. We had fun playing and making dirty diapers that her Mom had take care of for us. When Daddy came to pick me up I smiled and laughed at him. When we got home we both took a nap. Mine was longer than Daddy's. After my nap it was time to get in the car and go visit Mommy at work. I get to go to Mommy's work every Tuesday now for a while. Daddy had a late meeting so he has to drop me off with Mommy. I like visiting Mommy at work. I get to smile and show off all of my tricks to the teachers at Mommy's school. We didn't stay a school very long because I was ready to eat. Mommy drove us home and she sang me silly songs so I wouldn't cry. After eating Mommy put me in jogger and we went for a run. I like being outside and looking at all the trees and cars that go past. When we got home I played for a while and then it was time to eat my dinner. Tonight I had apples and cherries and I was still hungry so Mommy gave me some squash as well. After eating so much I need another drink. As I finished drinking Daddy came home. Mommy and I played while Daddy did his run. When Daddy got back it was time for my bath. I have a little chair that I sit in now when I take a bath. I love to play with my pelicans and duck in the bath tub. After my bath I had some cereal and then it was time for bed. Good Night!

A Rainy Sunday

Today it has rained all day. I did not get to go outside and play. Yesterday, Mommy, Daddy and I went shopping. I need more wipes and diapers so it was off to Target. Then we went to the Gap. Mommy and Daddy had fun picking out new clothes for me to wear. Then it was time for Mommy to pick out some new clothes. It has been a long time since she bought a lot of new clothes for herself. Daddy was very proud of her. After the Gap we went to Meijer's to pick up some food. When we got home Mommy made made some more freezer meals.

This morning Daddy and I got up and played while Mommy slept in. I like the weekends when I can play with both Mommy and Daddy at the same time. When Mommy and Daddy were eating lunch I wanted to eat as well. So Mommy got me some apple sauce to eat. After lunch it was time for another nap. I slept for two hours Mommy and Daddy were glad that I finally had a good nap.

In the afternoon Mommy started packing all the books that are in my room away. She is afraid that I will get into the now that I am crawling. She doesn't want me rip up her books. After packing the books up Mommy started packing my bag. She told me that we were going to go stay at Grandpa and Grandma's house. Daddy has to go to class earlier. I had a lot of fun showing Grandpa Buck how well I crawl.

Calvin Soccer Game

I watched Grandpa Buck coach the Calvin College Men's Soccer Team today. They won the game 2-0. Go Calvin!!! After the game Grandpa let me play on the field and then Mommy introduced me to the the head soccer coach. Grandpa say's that one day I will play for Calvin. I was dressed to play. Daddy put me in my soccer outfit so that I would fit in with the rest of the team.

After the game Grandma Sara and I went to visit Grandma the Great at Raybrook. She was so excited to see me. I have done a lot of growing since I saw her last. I am on the verge of crawling. I am up on my haunches and I even move my legs forward, however, every time I try to move my arms I fall over. Mommy thinks that in the next few days to weeks I will be crawling.

I am staying at Grandpa and Grandma's house tonight. Daddy had to go to a meeting and Mommy wanted to go to the soccer game. So, we decieded to stay over night. Grandma and I are playing right now and tomorrow Grandpa and I will play while Daddy is at class.

A Lazy Sunday With Mom and Dad

I'm Going to be a goalie like my Grandpa Buck and Mommy!
Here is my buddy Saprissa. Grandpa Buck got him for me in Costa Rica.
We went to church this morning and I lasted longer in church than Ihave before. Then I got too loud and Daddy took me out. We went to the library where we sat in a big chair and looked out the window. Looking out any window is a fun activity for me. When church was over we talked for a while but then it was time to head home. I was very sleepy. I took a short nap when we got home. Then I woke up hungry and I was still very sleepy. It took Mommy a long time to put me back down. When I finally fell asleep Mommy went and took a nap. She was tired as well. I slept for a while but then I was ready to get up. Daddy came and got me because Mommy was still sleeping. Daddy and I went downstairs to play and watch the football games. When Mommy woke up she came down and joined us. I started to get sleepy again and Mommy got me back to sleep. Daddy had gone out running. After my third short nap of the day mommy fed me squash in the bigger container (Stage 2) and I got a long drink. After my drink Mommy went running. I stayed home and played with Daddy. This weekend I got to play a lot with both my parents. Daddy got most of his big projects done for school. He does not have school Monday or Tuesday. I get to have another two days with Daddy. I am so excited. I'm sure that we will have lots of fun adventures.

Seven Months Old Today

Today is another milestone in my life. I have been in Mommy and Daddy's arms now for seven months and they feel so blessed to have me. It has been a great day. I spent the morning playing with my Grandpa Buck while Daddy was preaching a sermon at the Seminary. Then, Daddy took me home and we played together for a long time. Then, I was ready for a nap. Daddy and I laid down on the couch and I laughed at him. I only cried a little. After some more cuddling we both fell asleep. I like sleeping on my Daddy. I used to do that a lot. After our nap it was time to play again. Mommy had a meeting after school so she got home late. I was so excited to see her I waved. Okay, so I moved my hand and they thought it was a wave. Mommy fed me some yummy squash and I got lots to drink. Then, we were off to church for Mommy and Daddy's dinner. I got to see lots of friends and show off my teeth. They were all so impressed. After dinner we went to Meijer to pick up food for me and Mommy and Daddy. After we got home it was time for my bath. I love bath time. I splash and scream. I love it when Mommy pours water all over me. Mommy put on my grease and then it was time to snuggle in for bed. It has been a great day.

Two Teeth!

Yes, I have two teeth. Mommy and I were snuggling on Sunday afternoon and she saw my teeth. I have not been myself the last few days and now Mommy and Daddy know why. My cold is pretty much gone now. Mommy thinks that it might have lasted longer because of my teeth.

We called my Grandpas and Grandmas to tell them the news. They were all excited. I am growing up so fast. Mommy and Daddy sometimes want me to slow down but I can't.

Today, I played with Grandpa Buck. We had a lot of fun. I did not want to go to sleep for him. Now it is late at night and I am fighting Mommy and Daddy. I just do not want to go to sleep. Mommy has given me medicine and still I am going strong. Mommy will try to get a picture of my teeth soon.

Yeah it's Friday

I like Friday's. They mean that Mommy will be home more. I still have a little bit of a cold and Mommy thinks that I am teething. This week I got to play with Grandpa three days in a row. I love playing with Grandpa. I did not sleep so well this week. My cold and my teeth have been bugging me. Mommy is hopeful that tonight I will sleep good again.

Daddy has been very busy trying to get all of his work done. I think he likes it better when I take long naps. Then he can get some of his work done.

This week I got to talk to my Uncle Chris two times. I love talking to him. I scream and try to grab the phone out of Mommy's hand.

I also got to try my first fruit this week. Mommy gave me peaches last night. I'm not so sure that I like how sweet it is. Tonight Mommy gave me one of my favorites sweet potatoes. I ate it up so fast. Tomorrow morning for breakfast I am going to try rice cereal with apples. I wonder how that will taste. I am getting better at sitting on my own. I am even trying to crawl. I get up on my haunches and rock. Every time I try and move though I fall down. Mommy and Daddy say that I will get it one of these days and then they are in trouble because I will be crawling all over the house.

Grandma is Up North with her book club and Mommy and Daddy are jealous because they would love to go up North and visit all of their favorite places. Maybe we can go as a family when Daddy is done with school.

Day with Mommy

This morning I woke up at 6:30 and I was hungry. I had not eaten since 10:00 the night before. Mommy was so excited that I slept so well. She fed me and I fell right back to sleep. I didn't wake up until 8:30. I was waiting in bed for someone to come and get me and who should come and pick up but Mommy. I looked at her and she smiled. I didn't smile because I was so confused. Mommy should be at work not here with me. She changed my very stinky diaper and then I got to go and hang out with Mommy and Daddy in their bed. It was so fun. I played with the blankets, pulled Mommy's hair and screamed. Then it was time to get up. Daddy went to take his shower and Mommy fed me my yummy rice cereal. I ate a big bowl and then I drank my whole bottle right down. Afterwards I had a great big burp. Then it was time for Daddy to go to school. This time I stayed home with Mommy. Mommy says that I have a bad cough and so I couldn't go and play with my friends. Mommy and I made muffins this morning. She said that I was a big help to her. I was getting sleepy so Mommy put me down for my morning nap. I slept for two hours and in that time Mommy got most of the house cleaned. She worked very hard. When I got up I was hungry. I sucked down a six ounce bottle and then it was off to the Post Office to mail a package to some friends in Waupun. I didn't really take an afternoon nap. I slept for a little while in my crib but then I just wanted to snuggle Mommy, but I didn't want to sleep.

Tonight for supper I had squash. I like it. So far I have tried: green beans, peas, sweet potatoes, and squash. I like all of them except the green beans. I make funny faces when Mommy gives them to me.

I like spending the day with Mommy, I really miss her when she is at work and I think that she really misses me as well.

P.S. We now have internet at home so I can blog more often.

Sunday with the Family

Today, I woke and I was still at Grandpa Buck and Grandma Sara's house. This morning I hung out with Grandpa and Grandma while Mommy and Daddy slept in. Then it was time to go to church. I got to sit with Grandma The Great, Jean. She liked sitting by me. Then, once again, I tried to out preach the minister. Daddy had to take me out. I finally fell asleep at the end of the service. Mommy and Daddy took me home and I slept for a little while longer. Then it was time to get up and play. I played with Grandma the Great and Grandma Ruth. I had a lot of fun playing with my soccer ball. Great Grandma Jean rolled the ball to me and then I tried to roll it back to her. Soon it was time for my nap. I went down pretty easy for Mommy, but then I kept waking up. While the big people were eating Peggy, Grandma's neighbor, came for a visit with her daughter-in-law Lisa and her son Jacob. Jacob and I are only three weeks apart. We like each other. We touched hands and I laughed at him. He didn't like me laughing and started to cry. The big people just keep saying that next summer we both will be running around the side yard.

After dinner Mommy, Daddy, and Grandma finished making the applesauce. I was taking my nap and I kept waking up. Mommy kept putting me back to sleep. I have a little cough right now. Mommy is happy that I don't have a runny nose or fever.

I am having a lot of fun right now playing in my exersaucer with Grandma Sara right by me. Grandpa Buck just came in and I am so excited to play with him. I also like drinking out of my sippy cup.

I can now walk or rather jump if someone holds me up. I like to jump all the time. I would rather do that than try to crawl right now.

Hanging out with Grandma Sara

Last night I got to hang out with Grandma Sara. Daddy came and picked me up from Kate's and took me to Grandma Sara's house. When we first got to the house I fell asleep. I got up from my nap when Mommy was coming in the door. We played for a while and then I got hungry. Mommy fed me my peas. I like peas much better than green beans. After eating all my peas for the first time I got a drink. Then it was time to get dressed and go visit Mommy's high school. They were dedicating their new athletic stadium tonight. We didn't stay very long because it was so cold.

Today I went to visit my Grandma The Great that is the new name we have for Great Grandma Jean. I showed Grandma The Great all of my new tricks. She has not seen me sit on my own or jump up and down. Grandma Sara, Mommy and I went to the Fulton Street Farmers Market to buy apple, because Mommy and Grandma Sara were going to make applesauce. They started a little after 12:30 and then Uncle Chris called. Grandma talked to him while Mommy tried to put me to sleep. After a while, Mommy got on the phone and then I got to talk to Uncle Chris. He told Mommy to stop bugging me. Then Mommy informed him that I was very happy. I took a good nap and Mommy and Grandma worked very hard. Then I got up and helped Grandma and Mommy.

During dinner Mommy and Daddy were talking about having to drive home and they didn't want to have to do that, so they decided that we should stay at Grandpa and Grandma's house until Monday. I am glad that we are staying, then I get to see Grandpa and all the people at Grandpa and Grandma's church.

Playing With Grandpa Buck

I went to see Dr. Green on Friday. He said that I am a very strong and healthy little boy. I am 27 and one quarter inches and 15 lbs 4 oz. Mommy and Daddy could not believe how big I have gotten. Saturday night was another first in our house. Mommy and Daddy fed me green beans for dinner. I am not so sure that I like them. I kept pulling funny faces and then last night they fed them to me again and I made even more funny faces.

Today, I got to come and play with Grandpa Buck all day. Daddy dropped me off around 8:15 and then he went to school. Grandpa and I played for a while and then it was time to eat. Grandpa fed me my cereal and bottle. Then it was time to play again. Grandpa got me down for a nap and I slept for two and half hours. When I woke up I was a hungry little boy. I drank my bottle right down and then it was playtime. Mommy called about this time and I tried to get the phone. Then it was time for Daddy to come and play. We are staying at Grandpa and Grandma's for the afternoon because Mommy and Daddy have a meeting tonight in Grand Rapids. Grandma Sara is very excited about this because I will still be here when she gets home from work.

I am doing really well at my different babysitters. I played with the other kids and we laughed a lot together.

Hello! I'm Back

Sorry it has taken me so long to write. We don't have internet at home right now. I have done a lot of growing and changing during the last few weeks. I can now sit and play. I am getting stronger every day. Mommy is working full time again. It is hard for her to leave me. Daddy had his first day of class today and I went to daycare. This means that I got to hang out with Aunt Emily and Sara today. We had lots of fun together. We played with her toys and her cat. We also did a lot laughing and Sara is really good at sharing everything with me.

Last weekend Mommy and Daddy had another garage sale. They sold a lot of stuff. I even made a couple of good deals myself. Then, on Monday, Mommy and Daddy worked very hard on the house. They did stop to play with me and help me celebrate my six-month birthday. Mommy and Daddy are amazed that I am six months old already. The time has gone by so fast and I am changing so much.

I like to play with new toys all the time. I love touching new textures and trying to figure out how light switches work or pulling open the freezer door while Mommy or Daddy are holding me. It is just so fun to find new things to explore all the time. I am keeping Mommy and Daddy very busy.

Rice Cereal

There is so much to tell you about. I have moved back to Michigan. I am getting used to my house and so are Mommy and Daddy. Mommy says it is hard to keep this house clean. Mommy and I came home with Grandpa Buck and Grandma Sara last week Thursday. Then on Friday, Mommy and Grandma got silly and decided to have a garage sale. They made over $150 dollars. They thought that was pretty good for quickly putting a sale together.

Daddy came home Monday. Mommy and I were very glad to see him. I was crabby on Sunday for Mommy.

Last night I got to go and see my good friend Sara and Uncle Ben and Aunt Emily. Mommy and Auntie Emily went for a walk and Sara and I got to ride in our strollers. After our walk the Mommy's and Daddy's had pizza. However, before I went to Sara's house Mommy and Daddy fed me my first bowl of rice cereal. It was so good. I just wanted to keep eating and eating. I would open my mouth wide for Mommy to spoon it in.

This morning Mommy and Daddy kept waking up and checking on me because I fell asleep at 10:30 last night and then I woke up this morning at 7:00. I even slept through the big thunderstorm this morning.

Now I am at school with Mommy and Daddy helping Mommy set up her classroom for this year. I am rolling all over the room. I roll two or three times in a row to get to new places.

Playing with Malori and Maddax

Last night right after my bath I got to meet my Aunt Anila, Uncle Cory, Cousins Malori and Maddax. It was so exciting. I got kind of scared at first. Then, I settled down after Mommy and Daddy picked me up from the floor. I even let my cousin Malori hold me. She did a really good job. While she was holding me Grandpa Gil and Grandma Alina walked in the door. A little while later I fell asleep. Mommy thinks that I was just so overwhelmed by everything that I decided to go to bed.

Later the big Waupun Truck-N- Show started. Huge semi-trucks went down Main Street showing off their lights and sounding their horns. It lasted almost two hours. I slept through the whole show. I didn't sleep as well last night as the night before. I did however go to bed two hours earlier.

Today, we showed everyone all around the town. I slept the whole time we drove around, went to the thrift store, and the park. I finally woke up at Pizza Ranch. After lunch I played on the floor for a while while my cousins took their naps. Then it was time for the big truck parade again. This time the big people went down to watch the big trucks. Mommy and I went down to watch after I ate my afternoon snack. I made it down to the corner and then a truck honked his horn. I started to cry. I did not like that loud sound, so Mommy took me back to the house. After awhile the others came back.

We hung out in the house for the rest of night. We played, talked, laughed, and cried a little. It has been fun to play with new people.

The Alto Fair

Today, Mommy and Daddy took me to the Alto Fair. Alto is a small town about ten minutes from Waupun. They started a fair a few years back so that people could get together and the 4H students wouldn't have to show their animals on Sunday. It is a big Christian Reformed reunion for people from Alto and Waupun. They have a food tent and exhibits to visit. They also have a tent filled with live animals. We could walk right up to cows, pigs, goats, sheep, duck, chickens and more. They also have tractor and horse pulls. The thing that we went for was the parade. It was my first parade. I was pretty excited about it. I had trouble eating because there was so much to look at and hear. I didn't really like the loud fire trucks and other trucks that kept blowing their horns.

After the Fair we came home and played. I didn't take very good naps today. Mommy wonders if that is because I got so much sleep last night. Mommy and Daddy both got to sleep in this morning. Then, tonight I rolled from my back to my tummy. Daddy was proud he started yelling and jumping up and down. I did not like that at all and I started to cry. Mommy had to calm me down. I now have had my bath and a big meal and Daddy and I are snuggling down so Mommy can work on her quilting.

Five Month Pictures at Last

Mommy has been trying to take five-month pictures for a few days. She has not been able to because I have not been cooperating. I have been tired and kind of cranky. Mommy is doing her best to teach me how to fall asleep on my own. I still will have none of it. She would like me to take longer than forty-five minute naps, however, I don't think that I need that much sleep. Today though Mommy and Daddy won the battle and my afternoon nap was three hours long. I won the morning nap by only staying down for half-an-hour. Mommy wasn't so happy with me because she was cooking up beans and corn to freeze. She wanted me to sleep the whole time. I didn't want to. It is a good thing that I am so happy even when I don't sleep very much.

Yesterday, Mommy and I went to some friends house and Mrs. V taught Mommy how to quilt. Mommy says that it is going to take her a long time to get good at it. Tomorrow we are going to the Alto Fair and I going to see my first parade. I am very excited.

On Friday, we are getting visitors. Uncle Cory, Aunt Anila, cousins Malori & Maddax, Grandpa Gil and Grandma Alina are coming to see us. I am so excited for their visit. I am practicing all my tricks especial my trick of blowing bubbles and making funny noises with my mouth. I can't wait to meet my cousins and aunt & uncle for the first time.

Happy Five Month Birthday to Me

This picture is of Uncle Chris reading to me while I sit on Grandma Sara's lap. Yesterday was the official start to my fifth month of life. Mommy and Daddy can't believe that I am five months old already. This has been a week of trying to get back on a schedule. Mommy and I are duking it out over naps and feedings. She wants me to sleep more and eat less often. I, on the other hand, want to stay awake and eat all the time. Mommy thinks that I may be ready for cereal and baby food, but I can't have it until the Dr. says okay. She might call him next week and see if I could at least start cereal.

The last two days I started sleeping better at night. I now give Mommy a four hour stretch of straight sleep. She is very grateful. She has been getting a lot of headaches and Daddy thinks it is because she is not getting enough sleep.

It has been so hot here that I have not been able to play outside very much and I really miss it. Mommy and Daddy tried to take my picture at the park yesterday, but I was too crabby and today I have been sleeping a lot and now it is sprinkling outside. They will keep on trying. I have been having a lot of fun grabbing for toys and playing with my toes. I think I will go play with my toys now.
